Will's Story

Will Hanley is a Venture Fellow at Vidavo, where he supports deal flow and research in the areas of energy, industrials, and agribusiness. Will brings over seven years of experience in finance and consulting across the renewable energy and agriculture sectors. 


He most recently worked at The Lightsmith Group, a growth equity fund focused on climate adaptation where he explored investment opportunities in agriculture and geospatial imaging. Prior to Lightsmith, Will was a Manager on the Finance team at Stem, Inc., an energy storage company. At Stem, he led project finance and asset management across Stem’s fleet of 500+ operating projects as well as supported corporate development initiatives. Before Stem, Will worked as an Analyst at The Cadmus Group providing consulting services to government agencies, NGOs, and corporations globally across the solar, energy storage, renewable heating & cooling, and waste-to-energy sectors.


Will is currently an MBA student at the Berkeley Haas School of Business at the University of California. He also holds B.A. in film from Middlebury College.
